Travel Surgical Tech in San Pedro, CA

A Travel Surgical Tech Surgical Technologist will support operating room cases in an acute care hospital on a 16-week contract in San Pedro, California. The unit has 11 rooms, uses Meditech, and handles a broad surgical mix with robotics and endoscope reprocessing.

• Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and case carts
• Assist during orthopedic, general, urology, bariatric, and robotic cases
• Support endoscope reprocessing and instrument moistening at point of care
• Maintain aseptic technique, decontamination, and sterilization standards
• Perform instrument counts, setup, and room turnover tasks
• Handle surgical tools and scopes with attention to workflow and safety

• 3 or more years of Surgical Tech experience
• BLS
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes
• Aseptic technique
• Community hospital experience

• NBSTSA certification
• Scope and fiber optic equipment experience
• Pediatric OR experience
• Advanced specialty surgical experience, including trauma, neuro, spine, cardiovascular, and transplant cases
