Travel Surgical Tech in Indianapolis, IN

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will support operating room cases in a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana on a 13-week contract. The case mix includes neuro, ortho, trauma, plastics, GYN, ENT and GU, with Cerner charting in a teaching, Trauma Level I setting.

• Prepare instruments, trays and case carts for surgical procedures
• Assist with neuro, ortho, trauma, plastics, GYN, ENT, GU and general cases
• Support laparoscopic, robotic, oral maxillofacial and gynecologic procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and protect the operative field
• Reprocess instruments and trays for ortho and neuro/spine sets
• Pass supplies and respond to surgeon needs during cases

• NBSTSA certification
• BLS certification
• 2 years of surgical technology experience
• 1 year of Trauma Level I experience
• Teaching hospital experience and prior travel experience
• Broad operating room case experience in neuro, ortho trauma and total joints, spine, craniotomy, VP shunt, trauma, urology, general, GYN, ENT, plastics, oral maxillofacial, Dilation & Curettage, laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures and robotic surgery

• Cerner charting system experience
• Flap and scope experience
• Robotic experience in colorectal, gynecologic, orthopedic, otolaryngologic and urologic cases
• Crash cart familiarity
