Travel Surgical Tech in Indianapolis, IN

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will assist in adult operating room cases for a 13-week contract in Indianapolis, Indiana. The unit is a high-acuity teaching hospital with 22 rooms, about 35 daily surgical cases, and Cerner charting. Care includes transplant and other complex surgical services.

• Scrub for transplant and other complex adult surgical cases
• Maintain a sterile field and aseptic technique
• Prepare instruments, supplies, and the operating room for cases
• Assist surgeons during general, thoracic, gynecology, urology, plastics, and Whipple procedures
• Support liver resection, liver transplant, and free flap cases
• Help with robotic and flexible endoscope processing as needed

• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• 2 years of surgical technology experience
• Experience with recipient procedures involved in liver transplant
• Complex general, urology, thoracic, gynecology, plastics, Whipple, liver resection, and free flap surgical experience

• Robotic surgical system experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Bronchoscopy, EGD, EUS, and flexible sigmoidoscopy exposure
