Travel Surgical Tech in Salt Lake City, UT

A Travel Surgical Tech Surgical First Assistant will assist in cardiac surgery in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah on a 13-week contract. The unit is a small CVOR setting with 2.5 operating rooms and a focus on cardiac and vascular care.

• Assist with endoscopic vein harvesting during cardiac cases
• Support open-heart first assist duties in the operating room
• Prepare instruments, supplies, and sterile field for surgery
• Anticipate surgeon needs during CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic repair, and thoracic cases
• Maintain patient positioning, exposure, and tissue handling during procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support efficient case flow
• Follow operating room protocols and documentation requirements

• CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification
• 2 years of independent endoscopic vein harvest experience
• 2 years of open-heart first assist experience
• Strong sterile technique and intraoperative surgical assisting skills
