Travel Surgical Tech in Portland, OR

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will assist in an adult acute care operating room on a 13-week contract in Portland, Oregon. The unit serves adults and geriatrics across 21 rooms with an average daily census of 60 and uses Epic. It focuses on complex adult surgical cases, including advanced oncology procedures.

• Prepare operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical cases
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with aseptic field control
• Pass instruments and supplies during general and specialty procedures
• Support robotic, endovascular, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and case setup
• Handle counts, specimens, and room readiness between cases

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential or military surgical training
• BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Prior travel experience

• ASATT certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Care of scopes and fiber optic equipment
