Travel Surgical Tech in Medford, OR

A Travel Surgical Tech Certified Surgical Technologist will support operating room cases in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Medford, Oregon. The 9-room unit uses Epic, serves adolescents, adults and geriatrics, and averages about 30 surgical cases a day. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Prepare the operating room, instruments and sterile supplies for each case
• Assist the surgical team during ortho, urology, gynecology, vascular, general and spine procedures
• Support robotic cases, including Da Vinci Xi procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique and a sterile field throughout the case
• Pass instruments, sponges and supplies during surgery
• Help with counts, specimen handling and room turnover between cases
• Provide emergency operating room support for obstetric cases when needed

• Current BLS certification
• NBSTSA certification
• 2-3 years of perioperative Surgical Technologist experience
• Experience with ortho, urology, gynecology, vascular, general and spine cases
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program

• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience
• Orthopedic robotic surgery experience
• Trauma case experience
• Endovascular aortic repair exposure
