Travel Surgical Tech in San Rafael, CA

A Travel Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical team during operative procedures in an ambulatory surgery center on an 8-week contract in San Rafael, California. The assignment centers on ophthalmology cases, sterile field maintenance, instrument passing, patient preparation and room turnover.

• Prepare surgical suites, supplies and equipment
• Open sterile supplies aseptically and maintain the sterile field
• Scrub for procedures and pass instruments to the surgeon
• Assist with patient preparation, transfers, counting and positioning
• Handle specimens, room turnover, cleanup and transport support
• Document incidents and report aseptic breaks or safety concerns

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduation from an approved operating room surgical technologist program
• Minimum of 5 years related clinical experience with surgical scrub experience in an ambulatory surgery facility
• Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS, NRP and ATT certifications
• Ophthalmology surgical skills

• Certified Surgical Technician certification
