Travel Sterile Processing Tech in South Carolina

A Travel Sterile Processing Tech will clean, decontaminate, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments in a level I trauma, teaching, magnet hospital in Charleston, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The role supports a high-volume surgical service across adolescent, infant, adult, pediatric, and geriatric cases.

• Process instruments through decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization
• Assemble, inspect, and wrap sets and trays for surgical use
• Reprocess scopes and probes using approved high-level disinfection methods
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related processing equipment
• Prepare case carts and support case needs across multiple specialties
• Use aseptic technique and verify biological and chemical indicators

• CBSPD or HSPA certification
• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center experience
• Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience
• Prior travel experience
• Aseptic technique, indicator use, and scope reprocessing skills

• Equipment documentation
• Steam sterilization testing and monitoring
• SPM experience
• Ortho, totals, neuro, and crani case experience
