Travel Sterile Processing Tech in North Charleston, SC

A Travel Sterile Processing Tech will support decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization in a hospital setting during a 13-week contract in North Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, and the hospital is a Level I trauma center, teaching facility, and Magnet hospital.

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and reusable devices
• Assemble, inspect, and wrap trays and sets for sterilization
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and high-level disinfection processes
• Reprocess scopes and probes according to protocol
• Clean and prepare equipment and patient care items for safe use
• Follow sterile processing standards for accurate handling and turnaround

• CBSPD or HSPA certification
• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Experience in an acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I trauma experience
• Prior travel experience

• Biological indicators and chemical indicators
• Case cart handling and equipment documentation
• Immediate-use steam sterilization and steam sterilization monitoring
• Sterile Processing Microsystem experience
