Travel Sterile Processing Tech in South Carolina

A Travel Sterile Processing Technician will support decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization in a hospital in Charleston, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The hospital is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet hospital. The unit serves infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, and neonates are listed as a preferred population.

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble, inspect, and wrap instrument sets and trays
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and disinfection processes
• Reprocess scopes and probes per procedure standards
• Monitor biological and chemical indicators
• Support case cart preparation and specialty set turnover

• Current CBSPD or HSPA certification
• 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
• Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience
• Prior travel experience
• Acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center experience
• Sterilization, decontamination, assembly, wrap, and instrument reprocessing skills

• Equipment documentation
• Steam sterilization testing and monitoring
• Sterile Processing Microsystem experience
• Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN case experience
