Travel Sterile Processing Tech in North Charleston, SC

A Travel Sterile Processing Technician will support decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization in a 13-week contract at a level I trauma, teaching, Magnet hospital in North Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets and trays
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related cleaning equipment
• Perform high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing
• Select proper wrapping materials for sterilization
• Clean and prepare reusable equipment and supplies

• CBSPD or HSPA certification
• 2 years of sterile processing experience
• Acute hospital or ambulatory surgery center experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I trauma experience
• Prior travel experience

• Biological indicators
• Chemical indicators
• Immediate-use steam sterilization
• Sterile Processing Microsystem experience
