Travel Social Worker in Anchorage, AK

A Travel Social Worker Master of Social Work will support adults in an oncology support services unit at a cancer care center for a 13-week contract in Anchorage, Alaska. Epic is used for documentation, and the setting is a Magnet, Level II trauma hospital focused on cancer care and community resource coordination.

• Complete biopsychosocial assessments for adult oncology patients and families
• Coordinate community programs, insurance support, and aid resources
• Document care plans, patient teaching, responses, and coverage details in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on care coordination and discharge planning
• Address advance directives, guardianship, protective services, and safety concerns
• Refer patients to appropriate disciplines and external resources

• Master of Social Work degree
• 1 year of social work experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Knowledge of adult protective services, advance directives, biopsychosocial assessment, and community benefit programs

• BLS
• Cancer care experience
• Child protective services, group therapy, and individual counseling
• Cultural awareness, HCBS, and Medicare waiver experience
