Travel Social Worker in Spokane, WA

A Travel Social Worker Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will provide crisis assessments and level-of-care recommendations in an acute care hospital emergency department in Spokane, Washington on a 26-week contract. The role serves adults and pediatrics in a Level II trauma teaching hospital using Epic. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics
• Evaluate danger to self, others, and grave disability
• Provide level-of-care recommendations to the emergency team
• Complete biopsychosocial and mental health evaluations
• Document assessments and care coordination in Epic
• Coordinate discharge planning, referrals, and safety planning
• Support involuntary hold processing and crisis intervention

• Washington LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensure; associate license accepted
• 3 years of crisis risk assessment experience with adults and pediatrics
• Epic charting experience
• Biopsychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and care coordination skills

• Hospital emergency department experience
• Patient and family education, support, and advocacy
• Protective services, guardianship, and power of attorney knowledge
• Dementia, Medicaid, and Medicare familiarity
