Travel Social Worker in Spokane, WA

A Travel Social Worker Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will provide crisis evaluations in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 26-week contract in Spokane, Washington. The role serves adults and pediatrics with an average daily census of 7, using Epic in a level II trauma, teaching hospital; first-time travelers are welcome.

• Complete crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics
• Perform biopsychosocial and mental health evaluations
• Recommend level of care for safety concerns and grave disability
• Coordinate with ED providers and interdisciplinary team members
• Document assessments and clinical reports in Epic
• Support discharge and contingency planning
• Provide crisis intervention for psychiatric and substance use concerns

• Washington Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, associate license, LMHC or LMFT
• 3 years of crisis risk assessment experience with adults and pediatrics
• Epic charting system experience

• Emergency department hospital experience
• Case management and discharge planning
• Adoption, foster care, adult protective services and child protective services
• Trauma-related concerns, cultural awareness, Medicaid, Medicare and power of attorney
