Travel Social Worker in Spokane, WA

A Travel Social Worker Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker will complete crisis assessments and level of care recommendations in an adult and pediatric emergency room, on a 26-week contract, in Spokane, Washington. It serves adults and pediatrics with mental health and substance use concerns in a short term acute care, teaching hospital with Epic charting and level II trauma designations.

• Assess adults and pediatrics for danger to self, danger to others, and grave disability
• Complete crisis and biopsychosocial evaluations
• Recommend level of care and next steps after psychiatric assessment
• Coordinate with the emergency team on discharge and contingency planning
• Document findings and clinical assessment reports in Epic
• Support referrals and continuity of care for mental health and substance use needs

• Washington Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or associate license
• 3 years of crisis assessment experience in emergency department settings
• Experience with adults and pediatrics
• Epic charting system experience

• Case management, discharge planning, and patient or family advocacy
• Adult and child protective services
• Trauma-related concerns and cultural awareness
• Medicaid and Medicare familiarity
