Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital respiratory unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports Level IV NICU, PICU, and delivery room care. Teamwork and critical thinking are important in this multidisciplinary setting.

• Assess respiratory status across neonatal and pediatric patients
• Assist with airway management and intubation support
• Manage ventilation support and oxygen therapy
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and aerosol treatments
• Collect blood gases and monitor response to therapy
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Virginia state license or temporary Virginia license eligibility with another active state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Neonatal and pediatric airway and ventilation skills

• PALS
• ACCS
• Cardiac PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience
