Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, and children in a children's hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The setting includes a Level IV NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and pediatric acute care, with a multidisciplinary team and complex congenital cardiac care.

• Support respiratory care for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• Operate high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation equipment
• Provide airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Interpret ABGs and assist with intubation and extubation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications
• Virginia State License or temporary Virginia eligibility with an active out-of-state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Competence in neonatal and pediatric airway management, ABG interpretation, and high-frequency ventilation

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
• ACCS certification
• Cardiac PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience
