Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory support for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role serves the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics in a multidisciplinary setting with complex congenital cardiac care. The unit includes a Level IV NICU and a pediatric critical care setting that supports complex congenital cardiac cases.

• Provide respiratory care for NICU, PICU, high-risk delivery, and pediatric patients
• Manage airway support, oxygen therapy, and ventilator assistance
• Monitor ABGs and respond to changes in respiratory status
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and neonatal transport care
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and aerosol therapies
• Operate high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilators and collaborate with the care team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Virginia state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Another state license for temporary licensure eligibility

• Cardiac PICU experience
• ACCS
• PALS
• Teaching hospital experience
