Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital unit in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The role supports the NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries in a Level IV neonatal intensive care setting.

• Provide respiratory care across neonatal and pediatric patient groups
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• Support advanced ventilation and noninvasive respiratory therapies
• Manage airway care, suctioning, and tracheostomy support
• Interpret ABGs and communicate findings with the care team
• Assist with intubation and extubation support

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Basic Life Support and NRP certifications
• Virginia state respiratory therapist license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Neonatal and pediatric airway management skills

• Pediatric cardiac critical care experience
• PALS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Advanced pediatric respiratory therapy experience
