Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital on a 52-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The setting includes a Level IV NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries, with complex congenital cardiac care and advanced neonatal ventilator support.

• Support respiratory care for NICU, PICU, pediatric, and high-risk delivery patients
• Assist with airway management, intubation, extubation, and neonatal transport support
• Manage mechanical ventilation, high-frequency ventilation, CPAP, and high-flow therapy
• Set up and monitor aerosol treatments, tracheostomy care, and suctioning
• Interpret ABGs and coordinate therapy changes with the care team
• Operate neonatal and pediatric respiratory equipment, including specialized ventilators

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia state license
• BLS and NRP certifications
• 1 year NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience

• PALS certification
• ACCS certification
• Cardiac PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience
