Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will support neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a children's hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The role covers a Level IV NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries with advanced ventilator and airway support.

• Provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in critical care and acute care settings
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• Manage ventilator support, HFNC, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and nitric oxide therapy
• Support airway care, including bag-mask ventilation, intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy management
• Interpret ABGs and respond to changes in patient respiratory status
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary pediatric care team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia State license or temporary Virginia licensure eligibility
• BLS and NRP certification
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience

• PICU cardiac experience
• PALS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Bronchoscopy, pulmonary hygiene, and inhaled therapy experience
