Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a children's hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 52-week contract. The unit serves neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a Level IV NICU and PICU, with advanced ventilator support and multidisciplinary care.

• Provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents across the children's hospital
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, neonatal transport, and emergent airway support
• Manage CPAP, HFNC, trach collar, aerosol therapy, and ventilator support
• Support intubation, extubation, bag-mask ventilation, and suctioning
• Interpret ABGs and adjust care with the clinical team
• Perform tracheostomy care and help maintain complex respiratory equipment

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia state respiratory therapy license or eligibility for temporary licensure
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Strong neonatal and pediatric critical care respiratory skills

• PALS certification
• Pediatric cardiac PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience
