Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates and children in a hospital children's unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role serves a Level IV NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries, with advanced ventilatory support and multidisciplinary teamwork.

• Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
• Manage jet and oscillatory ventilation support
• Support intubation, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Interpret ABGs and monitor respiratory status
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia state license eligible for temporary licensure
• BLS and NRP certifications
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Competency in neonatal and pediatric airway and ventilator care

• PALS certification
• Pediatric cardiac critical care experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Experience with bronchoscopy, HFNC, and CPAP/BiPAP
