Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates and pediatric patients in a children's hospital on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports Level IV NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. It requires teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting with advanced neonatal and pediatric respiratory support.

• Support respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transport
• Manage jet ventilator and high-frequency oscillator support
• Interpret ABGs and monitor respiratory status
• Assist with airway management, intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Provide aerosol, CPAP, HFNC, and inhaled therapy support

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia Respiratory Care license
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Active out-of-state license for temporary Virginia licensure eligibility

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Cardiac PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Adult Critical Care Specialty certification
