Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care in a hospital setting for a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adults and geriatrics in a Level I trauma, teaching hospital and uses Epic.

• Assess adult and geriatric patients and tailor respiratory care
• Assist with airway management and ventilator support
• Obtain and interpret ABGs
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy
• Monitor response to therapy and troubleshoot ventilator alarms

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia state license, or temporary licensure eligibility before start
• BLS
• 4 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Epic charting experience
• Adult critical care skills

• ACLS
• ACCS
• Trauma Level I experience
• Advanced ventilator and inhaled therapy skills, including IMV, inhaled nitric oxide, and inhaled Flolan
