Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a children's hospital for a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports a Level IV NICU, PICU and acute care pediatrics in a multidisciplinary environment.

• Support neonatal, pediatric and high-risk delivery respiratory care
• Assist with ventilator management and advanced respiratory therapies
• Operate high-frequency jet and oscillator equipment
• Perform airway care, suctioning and tracheostomy management
• Evaluate blood gases and respond to respiratory changes
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
• Provide neonatal transport support within the care setting

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Virginia state license or temporary licensure eligibility through another state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Core airway management and neonatal respiratory care skills

• Cardiac PICU experience
• PALS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Experience with bronchoscopy, inhaled therapies and pulmonary hygiene
