Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The team works in a multidisciplinary setting with advanced ventilatory support and congenital heart patients.

• Support respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, intubation support, and extubation support
• Manage ventilator support, high-flow therapy, CPAP, and nitric oxide
• Perform ABG interpretation, suctioning, airway placement, and tracheostomy care
• Help with neonatal transport and cross-unit coverage across the children's hospital
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members in urgent respiratory care

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP
• Virginia Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Pediatric critical care experience

• Cardiac PICU experience
• ACCS
• PALS
• Teaching hospital experience
