Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory therapy care in a hospital respiratory unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role serves adults and geriatrics in a level I trauma, teaching setting and uses Epic. Strong communication and critical thinking support multidisciplinary care.

• Deliver respiratory therapy services for adult and geriatric patients
• Manage airway care, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy
• Assist with ventilator support, weaning, and alarm troubleshooting
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpret ABGs
• Provide aerosol, bronchodilator, and inhaled medication treatments
• Support chest physiotherapy, BiPAP, CPAP, and HFNC care

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS certification
• Virginia state license or temporary license eligibility with another state license
• 4 years of respiratory therapy experience in adult critical care
• Teaching hospital experience
• Epic charting system experience

• ACLS certification
• ACCS certification
• Inhaled nitric oxide and inhaled Flolan experience
• Trauma Level I experience
