Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 26-week contract. The role supports Level IV NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and a complex congenital heart population.

• Provide respiratory care across NICU, PICU, acute pediatrics, and high-risk deliveries
• Operate high-frequency ventilation and noninvasive support systems
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and airway management
• Monitor ABGs, oxygenation, and ventilator responses
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway setup
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex congenital heart cases

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia state license
• BLS and NRP certification
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience, including Level IV NICU experience
• High-frequency jet and oscillator ventilation competency
• Neonatal and pediatric airway management skills

• PICU cardiac experience
• PALS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
