Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 26-week contract. The role supports level IV NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics with jet ventilation and high-frequency oscillation.

• Support respiratory care across NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Operate jet ventilation and high-frequency oscillation equipment
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and neonatal transport
• Deliver aerosol therapy, CPAP, HFNC, and inhaled nitric oxide support
• Perform airway suctioning, tracheostomy care, and specimen collection
• Interpret ABGs and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia Respiratory Therapist license or temporary Virginia licensure with another state license
• BLS and NRP
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Strong ABG interpretation and neonatal airway skills

• PALS
• Cardiac PICU experience
• ACCS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
