Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in a children's hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The role supports a Level IV NICU, PICU, and high-risk deliveries, with complex cardiac patients and multidisciplinary care.

• Deliver respiratory care across neonatal and pediatric units
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and high-risk deliveries
• Manage ventilators, high-flow support, and inhaled therapies
• Perform airway suctioning, tracheostomy care, and aerosol setup
• Interpret ABGs and monitor respiratory status
• Support neonatal transport and collaborate with the care team

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS and NRP certification
• Virginia Registered Respiratory Therapist license, or pending with temporary authorization and another state license
• 1 year of NICU and PICU experience
• Level IV NICU experience
• Competence with high-frequency jet and oscillatory ventilation

• PALS
• Pediatric cardiac ICU experience
• ACCS
• Teaching hospital experience
