Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory therapy in a hospital unit on a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adults and geriatrics in a Level I trauma center and uses Epic.

• Assess respiratory status and adjust therapy plans
• Administer aerosol, inhaled, and oxygen therapies
• Manage airway support, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and bronchoscopy support
• Perform ABG collection and interpret results
• Support ventilator weaning and troubleshoot alarms

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• BLS certification
• Virginia license with temporary licensure before start and another state license
• 4 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Adult critical care, airway management, and ABG interpretation skills

• ACLS and ACCS certifications
• Experience with cold, flow-by, heated, inhaled Flolan, nitric oxide, and IMV
• Trauma Level I experience
