Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory services in a hospital setting for a 26-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves adults and geriatrics in a Level I trauma, teaching environment, with Epic charting.

• Provide respiratory care to adults and geriatrics
• Assess patients and interpret ABGs
• Manage oxygen therapy, HFNC, CPAP and BiPAP
• Assist with intubation, extubation and bronchoscopy
• Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning and aerosol treatments
• Support mechanical ventilation weaning and alarm troubleshooting
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team

• BLS certification
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
• Virginia Respiratory Therapist license, or temporary Virginia licensure eligibility with another state license
• 4 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Adult critical care, teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience
• Epic charting experience

• ACLS
• ACCS
• IMV, inhaled Flolan and nitric oxide experience
• Cold, flow-by and heated oxygen delivery experience
