Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Virginia

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a cardiac stepdown hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The 18-bed unit uses Meditech and cares for telemetry patients with a 4:1 ratio.

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and report changes in patient status
• Provide care for patients with CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, AFib, CHF, and MI
• Administer ordered medications and cardiac drips
• Manage central lines, Foley catheters, chest tubes, drains, and pacer wires
• Interpret telemetry and perform routine assessments
• Document patient care and responses in the electronic medical record

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Ability to read cardiac telemetry
• Safe narcotic administration skills
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
