Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care on a progressive care unit for surgical and trauma-related patients during a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 12-bed unit cares for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, averages 10 patients daily, and uses Epic charting. Ratios are 3:1.

• Monitor telemetry and assess rhythm changes
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy
• Care for central lines, arterial lines, and ports
• Support respiratory therapy needs and oxygen delivery
• Manage drains, tubes, wounds, and wound vacs
• Assist with drips, insulin protocols, and heparin protocols
• Coordinate with rapid response and code teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending allowed
• ACLS and BLS
• 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry experience
• Epic charting experience
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and IV therapy skills

• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Trauma Level II experience
