Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will support adults and geriatrics in a cardiac stepdown unit during a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The 22-bed unit uses Epic charting and cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, arrhythmias, and medical telemetry overflow.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythm changes
• Titrate cardiac drips and support hemodynamic stability
• Administer blood products and maintain central lines
• Start and maintain IV access and heparin therapy
• Care for post-MI and pre and post cardiac cath patients
• Respond to rapid response events and support code care

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 2 years of cardiac stepdown or progressive care experience
• 1 year of Epic EMR experience
• Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line care, and IV management

• Chest tube management with Emerson or PleurEvac systems
• Tracheostomy care and management
• CVA patient care experience
