Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Richmond, VA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for telemetry patients in a hospital setting during a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. The unit is a 25-bed cardiac telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient ratio, uses Meditech, and manages a fast-paced mix of admissions, discharges and transfers.

• Monitor telemetry and read EKG rhythms
• Provide direct nursing care for cardiac and progressive care patients
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers
• Support peritoneal dialysis and other unit procedures
• Communicate condition changes to the care team
• Use sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced setting

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Telemetry experience and EKG reading ability

• Priority setting and problem-solving
• Timely physician notification on patient condition changes
