Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults and geriatrics in a hospital PCU in Mission Hills, California on a 13-week contract. The unit has 34 beds, uses Epic, and is in a Magnet acute care hospital.

• Monitor telemetry and assess patient status
• Provide care for ventilated patients and noninvasive airway support
• Administer blood products and maintain IV and PICC access
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration
• Assist with chest tubes, feeding tubes, and hemodialysis-related care
• Support rapid response and code team efforts

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Los Angeles City Fire Card
• 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• BiPAP/CPAP, telemetry, and ventilated patient care skills

• IV insulin protocols and PCA
• Post-MI care
• Surgical drains and wound care, including wound vac
