Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide stepdown care for adults and geriatrics in an acute care hospital progressive care unit on a 26-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit uses Epic and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Assess progressive care patients with stepdown and ICU-level needs
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac cath, angiogram, and surgery
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Support oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support
• Coordinate with therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience
• Current progresssive care, telemetry, or MS/Tele experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills
• Epic charting system experience

• BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management
• Central line, PICC line, and IV care
• Blood product administration, heparin protocols, and cardiac drip support
• Feeding tube care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
