Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults and older adults in an acute care hospital in Eureka, California on a 13-week contract. The unit has a 1:4 ratio and uses Epic for charting.

• Monitor adult and geriatric patients in progressive care
• Assess cardiac status and respond to changes in condition
• Interpret telemetry and report rhythm changes
• Support pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac interventions
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as ordered
• Collaborate with respiratory, therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience
• PCU, DOU, IMC, or stepdown care experience
• Cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Epic charting system experience
• Pre- and post-cardiac procedure and procedural sedation monitoring experience

• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Central line, PICC, and IV care
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• Non-invasive airway support and oxygen administration
• Isolation precautions and PPE
