Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Olympia, WA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric cardiac and medical patients in an acute care hospital progressive care unit in Olympia, Washington on a 13-week contract. The unit uses EPIC and cares for sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain and syncope, with telemetry, cardiac drips and temporary pacemaker management.

• Monitor telemetry and assess cardiac rhythm changes
• Provide care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac and medical diagnoses
• Manage cardiac drips, oxygen support and IV insulin protocols
• Assist with cardioversion, sheath pulls and groin site care
• Perform central, peripheral and PICC line care
• Support blood product administration, heparin protocols and rapid response needs

• Active Washington Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• 1 year of cardiac telemetry, PCU or telemetry experience
• PCU, DOU, IMC or stepdown experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills

• ACLS
• EPIC charting system experience
• Post cardiac angiogram, catheterization and cardiac surgery experience
• Sheath removal, ABG interpretation and wound care experience
