Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric neuro and medical-surgical telemetry patients in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Torrance, California. The 26-bed unit uses Cerner and serves adult and geriatric neuro and medical-surgical telemetry patients. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor adults and geriatrics with neuro and medical-surgical telemetry needs
• Administer oxygen therapy and support BiPAP and CPAP management
• Manage dysrhythmias and respond to changes in condition
• Assist with chest tube care and wound care
• Assist with cardioversion, TEE and bubble study procedures
• Maintain isolation precautions and collaborate with the care team

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of PCU Registered Nurse experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• NIHSS certification
• BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC and dysrhythmia management

• Phlebotomy
• IV start and maintenance
• Hemodialysis and renal failure care
• Community hospital experience
