Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide ICU-level care in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Mission Hills, California. The unit cares for adults and geriatrics, uses Epic charting, and has a 1:3 ratio in a 34-bed Magnet hospital. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor adults and geriatrics with complex cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, and renal needs
• Manage ventilated and noninvasive airway support, including intubation and extubation support
• Administer blood products, IV medications, and cardiac or vasoactive drips without titration
• Perform telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and response to dysrhythmias
• Provide tracheostomy, feeding tube, peripheral line, and PICC line care
• Support rapid response and code situations for sepsis, stroke, MI, and trauma

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Los Angeles City Fire Card
• 1 year of ICU experience
• Ventilated patient, airway, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management skills

• IV insulin protocols and PCA
• Post-MI care, surgical drains, and wound care or wound vac
