Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Eureka, CA

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care unit at an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Eureka, California. The unit uses Epic and runs at a 1:4 ratio. Telemetry and stepdown care are central to the assignment.

• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Provide care for stepdown, ICU, and progressive care patients
• Assist with post cardiac angiogram, cardiac cath, and cardiac surgery care
• Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation
• Manage cardiac drips and support noninvasive airway care
• Deliver bedside care for adults and geriatrics with complex cardiac needs

• California Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management skills
• Epic charting system experience

• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Central line and PICC line care
• Heparin protocols
• Starting and maintaining IVs
