Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Chattanooga, TN

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide bedside cardiac step-down care in a hospital for a 13-week contract in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The 30-bed unit uses a 6:1 ratio and charts in Meditech-HCA version.

• Monitor cardiac step-down patients and respond to changes in condition
• Manage heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone infusions
• Assist with chest tube and wound vac care
• Obtain and document EKGs and telemetry rhythm strips
• Perform bedside and hourly rounding with patient needs checks
• Coordinate care with PCTs and the nursing team
• Use electronic charting and medication systems accurately

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
