Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery stepdown patients in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit also serves overflow cardiology patients, uses Cerner, and has Magnet recognition.

• Monitor telemetry and assess stepdown patients
• Manage chest tubes, epidurals, tube feedings and cardiac infusions
• Support care for open heart, vascular and thoracic surgery patients
• Titrate and monitor hemodynamic and cardiac drips per protocol
• Coordinate with charge nurses, providers and the care team
• Deliver postoperative education and discharge support

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Stepdown experience
• Telemetry experience

• Recent cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery experience
• CVICU experience
