Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for cardiovascular and vascular stepdown patients in a hospital unit for a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit serves open heart, thoracic surgery, and overflow medical cardiology patients, has 40 beds, uses Cerner, and works with a 1:5 nurse ratio.

• Monitor cardiovascular and telemetry status
• Provide stepdown nursing care
• Manage chest tubes and epidural care
• Support cardiac drip therapy and blood glucose management
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments and patient response in Cerner

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Stepdown experience
• Telemetry experience

• Recent cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery experience
• CVICU experience
