Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a cardiac step-down unit in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 40-bed unit serves patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and post cardiac procedures, with Cerner charting and typical ratios of 1:4. Bedside cardioversion and advanced cardiac monitoring are part of the environment.

• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in cardiac status
• Administer titratable cardiac IV medications and other ordered therapies
• Provide care for patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, and post cardiac procedures
• Assist with bedside cardioversion and related unit procedures
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and care team to support safe step-down care

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• Progressive care or step-down experience
• Telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications

• Experience with prostacyclins such as Flolan, Veletri, or Remodulin
• Relief charge experience
