Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for cardiovascular surgery and medical cardiology patients in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds, uses Cerner, and typically staffs patients at 1:5.

• Monitor postoperative cardiovascular and vascular patients on telemetry
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips and insulin infusions
• Manage chest tubes, epidurals, and tube feedings
• Assess patients with heart failure, DKA, chest pain, and sepsis
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team for stepdown patients
• Document assessments, medications, and responses in Cerner

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Stepdown experience
• Telemetry experience

• Recent CV surgery and vascular surgery experience within a year
• CVICU experience
