Travel Progressive Care Unit RN in Asheville, NC

A Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse will support trauma care stepdown patients in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The 44-bed unit uses Cerner and commonly cares for neuro and trauma patients with a 4:1 ratio.

• Monitor progressive care patients and assess for changes in condition
• Perform neuro and spinal checks and report findings
• Assist with chest tubes, PCA therapy, IV infusions, and blood transfusions
• Support care for tracheostomy and feeding tube patients
• Apply cervical collars and TLSO braces as ordered
• Document patient care and coordinate with the charge team

• Current North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Neuro and trauma care experience
